Telephone appointments

Dear patients,

We are aware that it is difficult when we can’t give you a set appointment time when it comes to phone calls. We will always try to call again if we do not initially get hold of you.

At the moment the GPs and clinicians weave the phone calls around the prebooked face to face appointments, urgent on the day slots and urgent triage assessment calls.

We are looking at reviewing our appointment layout in the new year and we recognise the current system can cause frustration and apologise for the inconvenience.

If you have specific time constraints that need to be accounted for please let the team know when you book the appointment and we will do our utmost to comply. Urgent same day calls are prioritised clinically so accommodating time requests is unfortunately not a viable option for these.
